All Artists must reserve an artist alley table prior to setting up. Artist Alley tables cost as follows:
Weekend - $25
Saturday Only - $20
ARTIST ALLEY IS SOLD OUT!
A table may be reserved prior to the convention. Please send all payments via the online site listed below. You must be registered to attend JACON to reserve a table for Artist Alley. Information can be sent to the address below or make sure you have all your forms emailed. If you send money with no indication as to what it is for we will assume it is a donation. Please include your real name and not just a pen name.
Tables are on a first come, first serve basis. If there are any tables left over at the time of the convention, artist alley tables may be reserved through the JACON art director. Once setup is determined, all artists who have already reserved a table will be allowed to choose their spot in artist alley according to the order in which reservations were received.
Only one artist alley form per person, per half table please.
You must be an artist either selling commissions, prints, or other such artwork at your table. Media guests and dealers- this includes cosplay accessories and wearable items- must get either a guest table or a dealers table, respectively.
Space is limited; It is required that artists share their tables with another artist. Two can sit at one table quite comfortably. Any Representative groups, (such as studios), are also only allowed one half-table each.
Various products of the artist’s creation are allowed to be sold, but there is no place to store anything, so don’t bring more than you can handle.
All art work MUST be original to the artist selling it. Selling of prints or recreations of any other artists work will cause you to be dismissed from Artists Alley and con admission will be revoked.
Small merchandise promoting the artist is allowed at the tables, but all of it must be original of the artist selling it. Commercial and other anime-based merchandise is not allowed as that stuff is what the dealers’ room is for. Original fan art is okay.
No raffles, Lotteries, or contests at Artist Alley tables.
No T-shirt presses allowed.
Music can be played at the tables, but for the comfort of surrounding artists please keep it at levels low enough so that people do not have to shout over it.
All electronic devices and art must be contained to you side of the table.
JACON will not provide electrical outlets for tables. That said IF there are any outlets near tables, the first time there is a complaint about sharing, they will be taken away.
Food and drinks are allowed at the tables as long as no evidence of it is left behind. Clean up after yourselves!
ALL artists in Artist Alley MUST have a badge to have a table for each day they are there. Anyone who takes up a table and does not have a badge will be asked to leave.
You may not sleep under your table in Artist Alley. The Convention is in a hotel, either get a room or go home.
Art tables are for artists. Please do not take up a table just so you have somewhere comfortable to hang out during the convention. (A Friend may sit with you to keep you company however.)
The JACON Directors reserves the right to ask anyone to leave at any time for any reason.
*A note to visitors of Artist Alley. Artists are not expected to watch your stuff for you. Please do not leave things at their tables expecting it to be safe.
If at any time you need to see the Art Director she can be found in the Art Show or by a volunteer with a radio.
