Art Needs
JACON retains all rights to art work selected to be used for the 2008 convention. The artist only retains the right to include the artwork in his/her portfolio. However, the artist will receive compensation for the artwork. (Compensation will vary based upon the type of artwork and its use.)
Art work submitted to JACON may not be submitted to another site, convention, etc unless JACON first declines its use. If your artwork is not selected, we ask that you remove the word/wordmark JACON before submitting or posting the artwork elsewhere, with the exception of portfolios.
Guidelines for all Needed Artwork
- Set to the theme: A New Frontier (a mix of the old west with the future)
- Must be rated PG-13 or below
- Must be in CMYK
- Print Ready (ie, 300dpi in PSD format)
- You may enter more than one image for each need.

Filler Convention Guide Artwork
Secondary Guidelines: Black and White ONLY, Maximum image size is 5in (wide) x 8in (tall); Minimum image size is 1in x 1in
Badges
For the badges, we are looking for three (3) images based on the theme.
Secondary Guidelines: 2.25in (wide) x 3.5in (tall), full collor
T-Shirt Artwork
Secondary Guidelines: 4 Color Design ONLY (each color must be on it's own layer)
Submitting Artwork
Artwork is to be submitted in digital format
Please save the images down for web use (72dpi and about 50-60% quality). If we like what we see, we will ask for a higher resolution.
Again, it is understood that if requested, a digital format will be made available in accordance with the specifications found on this page. Please send files to artneeds@jacon.org with your name (first and last) and e-mail address. The subject line must read "art needs" (without the quotes) for your submission to be properly filtered and reviewd.
